Ulrich blinked, completely surprised. "Well ... guess that question doesn't matter any more." He said. Honestly, he didn't think he could keep up with this dog and all her interesting quirks. She definitely wasn't a normal dog ... What to do?
He began to look around for a weapon once again. He needed something stronger than a stick, but not so heavy that he wouldn't be able to wield it properly. He also needed it to be like a sword .... jeez! This was getting way too complicated.

Ammy's ears perked suddenly and she trotted up ahead, going up to the ferris wheel and going down into some dip, likely going out of Ulrich's sight. She barked down where she was standing and pawing at something which made a clanging noise in response.
Ammy had spotted something silvery and a lot of it, she got a good feeling from it. It had a wheel it could be turned.

Ulrich watched her as she hurried off and remained at the same speed he'd been walking in. "Hey, wait up...!" He called, stumbling along after her. He looked up at the great big Ferris Wheel that loomed over him now, then looked down again toward where Ammy had just disappeared.
When he finally caught up, he noticed her looking like she was trying to dig out something or other. At least, that was what he assumed. "Hey, whatcha find there, girl?" He asked and stood over her, looking down at the ground.

Ammy pawed at the metal door some more before looking back at Ulrich. She got a good feeling from this place, and she wanted Ulrich to open the door. She looked back at him, then circled him and went back to the door and barked at it, then at him. Hopefully this would get the message across, she didn't think that the barking might attack unwanted attention though.

Ulrich stared down at the ground, realizing what the wolf had found seemed to be a door. "...Why's it on the ground?" He questioned to himself, then looked at her as she began to bark. "You want me to open it up, huh?" He said and smiled a little bit. "Ok, hopefully this doesn't lead anywhere bad."
He leaned down and grabbed hold of the wheel-like handle and started to turn it. "Hnrhgn..." He grunted and then pulled at it, hoping it would open without much force. As he pulled, however, a noise started to sound, causing him to pause and turn around. "...?"
As soon as he looked over his shoulder, an army of little bug-like beings came up over the hill, crawling directly at them! "..Oh no! You're kidding me!" He stood up straight again and backed away a bit. Gross! Not only were they an army of cock-roach like creatures, but they were kind of huge! He had a feeling stepping on them repeatedly wasn't going to keep them away.
"Jeez, just can't get a break.." He huffed, then remembered about the door. "Ah! Ammy--you try to keep those bugs away, I'm gonna open this door! As soon as I get it, we'll both get in and hide there..." He wasn't exactly sure what was beyond the door, but he had some faith it didn't have a whole bunch of bugs inside.

Ammy looked over her shoulder and started snarling as she heard something. Seeing the bugs she started to snarl. She still didn't really think about hte fact that her barking could have drew them near. With Ulrich's request Ammy barked and leapt at them, slashing with her weapon and dodging, provoking the giant ugly insects into attacking her.
The insects went for Ammy, they weren't intellegent to go after more than one thing, being bugs they weren't that intellegent and Ammy was the interesting one right now, showing more life which meant warm blood.
Ammy did her best to stay away from the creatures, she wasn't fighting to her fullest extent. It didn't seem as necissary as long as they weren't going for Ulrich and honestly, she needed to rest. Without a lot of people giving her power she could tire out eventually just like a mortal could. For the most part she barked at them and hopped around, keeping their attention while Ulrich worked.

As soon as Ammy went to work distracting the bugs, Ulrich immediately went back to pulling at the door. He couldn't dawdle, Ammy's life was at risk to creepy insects!!! The wound proved to make pulling the door all the more difficult, but he couldn't let her down. He didn't want to be a disappointment. He was always the disappointment, he had to prove he had a worth. To himself as well as Ammy.
Progressing from a groan to an actual cry out, Ulrich managed to pull open the door. He huffed a few times, then looked back at Ammy. "A...Ammy!! Hurry! Before they do!" He exclaimed.

As he spoke, Ammy managed to knock one of the bugs on it's back with her weapon. Ulrich didn't need to call twice. She turned tail on the bugs and dashed toward the now open door and took a soaring leap, landing directly in the opening and moving out of the way so Ulrich could come too.
Ammy was luckily much faster than the bugs so he didn't have to wait for her to go in for but a second or two, but the bugs were still coming and Ulrich had to get in quickly and shut and lock the heavy door before they made it to him or all that effort would have been for nothing, they would also be in bug trouble. Should those bugs get in when they were down in there they would be trapped and forced to fight them all off in a small space.

Ulrich practically fell in after Ammy. He grabbed the door and slammed it shut, accidentally crushing some of the bugs in the process. They made a sickening noise, but it was better than a whole herd of alive ones. After he processed the fact that the door was shut, he plopped down with a big sigh. "....Jeez... that was way too close." He murmured, then looked down at Ammy. "You ok?"

Ammy did look at Ulrich at the moment, she was snarling at the door still, crouched down in a fighting position. The insects hadn't left just yet, they were battering the rest of the ones that were alive were battering at the door, still trying to get to them. Ammy looked ready to leap just in case that door broke down, though it seemed sturdy and it wasn't budging at all.
After a several minutes the battering slowly died down as the bugs began to give up and they left. Now all that remained of them was the half dead ones on the ground that were still twitching some one the ground. Ammy looked at them, almost seeming as disgusted as any normal human would before looking at Ulrich and walking over to him, tilting her head and giving a small whine as if to ask if he was alright.

Ulrich sat silent as the bugs pattered against the door. They'd better just give up and go away! This door was definitely stronger than they were!!! When they finally disappeared, he sighed in relief, then smashed a twitching bug that was in front of him with his foot. He looked at Ammy. "Wow... they were really creepy." He muttered. "Anyway ... looks like you don't seem too battered." He smiled and pet her fur around her neck, gently. "I'm really lucky to have found you, honestly."
With a grunt, he pulled himself to his feet. "Ok, let's explore this place and make sure it's safe." He mumbled, then registered the lighting. "..Hey... there's electricity here! I just ... maybe there are people!" He felt somewhat excited and hopeful. He began to stumble down the stair well that would lead to the actual room.
