Ulrich glanced down at her, which didn't help with the already light-headed feeling he had. "..Something wrong..?" He asked her, quietly. She was barking and he couldn't understand bark. Odd might, but he really had no idea. However, he was aware that she was requesting his attention because she wanted him to do something. He wasn't sure what, but it wasn't like he could ask.
Seconds later, he felt worse than before. Unable to actually keep standing, he sank back down into a sitting position. "Nn .. not good." He muttered, but now he was even having troubles focusing. Everything around him was starting to swirl in a way and the weak feeling was growing stronger. It was hard to remain conscious.
"If I end up to just be in the way ... it's okay .. you can leave me here." He muttered, letting his head slowly fall to the side. He groaned a bit and stared forward. It was almost night time, wasn't it? What if this place was even worse at night? He didn't even want to think about it. Right now, he couldn't even feel scared. He couldn't feel anything save the occasional throbbing in his side. "....." He remained conscious, but hardly.

Ammy stared at him, she gave a whine. She really didn't want him to die, she'd never felt so helpless before. She touched her cold nose to his cheek before turning and leaping over the counter. The only thing she could think to do was to get the boy food and water and hope to hell that nothing went and ate him. Her destination wasn't far though.
She ran past everything, once again ignoring all of the fascinating structures to fetch the candy and other dry food she'd managed to find. She leapt over the counter of the food stand only to land on one of the dog like creatures that she'd run into in a grocery store once. Luckily since there was only one, she was able to kill it relatively quickly, but not without getting some more wounds for it. Ignoring her bleeding she grabbed what she could fit in her mouth. She got some small packs of candy and jerky. She managed to even get a small bottle of water in her mouth.
She felt like if she tried to stuff anything else in her mouth that her jaw would fall off. She made a bee-line back for Ulrich, leaping over the counter and dropping everything in his lap.

For the time the dog had leapt off until the time she'd got back, Ulrich made no movements. For one, he didn't have the energy, and two, he honestly thought he would die if he did. When the items were all dropped in his lap, his eyes lazily drifted to look and see just what she'd brought back to him.
Upon seeing the candy, jerky and even the water bottle, he automatically felt a little better. She'd done all that for him? He honestly didn't know dogs were that smart. He decided whenever he managed to get back home he'd be a little nicer to Odd's dog, Kiwi. Well, maybe. That dog was just annoying!
"Thanks." He murmured to her. "You're real reliable...." He stared down at the food and then sighed a bit. All he wanted to do right now was go to sleep. It was more of a battle staying awake, anyway. He moved his arm ahead and picked up the water bottle that was brought to him and removed the lid. He shakily attempted to actually drink it down in order to try and replenish his blood, but most of it actually ended up dribbling down his chin.
He gave up after a while and looked at the dog. "You gotta drink some too," He said to her, quietly. "But.. dogs don't drink outta bottles." He chuckled quietly.

Ammy was looking around at everything again now, appearing not to be listening at the moment. She did listen to him and understand, she just didn't look it. She often seemed like she was ignoring people sometimes. It always made Issun and Waka mad. Especially when she fell asleep. After a moment she looked back at him and yawned. She wasn't paticularly interested in going back out to get some more water. She did get hungry and thirsty just like everything else, but starvation and thirst couldn't kill her. It would only make her weaker. For the time being she would stay here with him.
Ammy laid down in front of him. When he fell asleep she would eat what he didn't and maybe go get some water. Or she would wait until she knew he was better to go get something so that he could maybe defend himself a little. That idea wasn't too appealing. As good as he was, he still got hurt really badly.

Ulrich held the water bottle in the air, watching the dog with a slightly amused, completely out of it smile. "You can have some of this, y'know.." He said, quietly. "Maybe I can dump it out on your tongue." He watched her, just wondering how she would respond. For a dog, it seemed like one could communicate with her pretty well. It was almost like a source of entertainment for him. She was so intelligent and yet still so dog-like at the same time. He wondered if there was more to her--something he was entirely unaware of due to the fact she couldn't speak like a human and ... well, he couldn't communicate like a dog.
Not much thought was going through the boy's mind at the moment, and most of that was due to the fact he was almost on another planet. He was trying his best to stay conscious so he could be aware of what was going on, but regardless it wasn't like he was alert. He just didn't want to end up passing out and then waking up to either the dog being dead or just ... never waking up again at all.
He continued to hold the bottle out in the air with a loose grip, but tight enough not to drop it. "I'm Ulrich .. by the way. Just thought I should tell you, for some reason ..." He informed her out of nowhere.

During the course of him talking, Ammy had laid her head down on her front paws and closed her eyes. When he offered to pour the water on her tongue, she moved her head back and forth as if shaking her head. It was more necissary for humans and mortals in general to have water.
When he told her his name, she opened her eyes, then lifted her head. Ulrich, well now she knew his name. Not that she could say it. She still liked it better when she knew people's name. She didn't have anyone here to introduce her, she had that problem when ever she was with people she didn't know.
It was Waka's idea, trying to teach her how to write so that she could communicate some with other people. She knew simple words as well as her name. Amaterasu stood and walked to a wall, the tip of her tail stained black and it began to flick across the wall, leaving a trail of ink where ever it went. The end product of this process was something that read 'Ammy'. Her full name was just too long to write out, she was feeling much too lazy to do so. Most people refered to her by that name anyway. Well, the ones that knew her personally anyway.

Ulrich let his arm drop when the dog didn't seem to prefer the water. He stared at her and watched as she made her way to a wall. At first he thought he was imagining things, but he definitely saw her tail tint black toward the end as if it were dipped in ink. Something weird like that. Wow, was he out of it?
He stared as she began to write with her tail. Write as in ... this dog was literate? He honestly wasn't sure how to react. When she seemed to have finished whatever she was writing, he read what she wrote on the wall. "Ammy ... what's Ammy? Is your name ... Ammy?" He asked, softly, looking back at her. She just got more and more incredible as the two of them remained there. He lifted the water bottle back to his lips again and forced himself to drink the water a little more properly this time.

Ammy barked in affirmative to his question, hoping he would understand this as her 'yes'. The other people she'd run into here hadn't known what to call her, nor had they really introduced themselves. It was more pleasant to be called by a name.
She watched in approval as he drank more. That was good, he would regain his strength as long as he was able to eat and drink. He was managing to stay concious for now too. She now felt more reassured that he was going to be alright.
Satisfied now, she returned to her spot on the ground and laid down once again.

"Yanno, Ammy, I guess, we're gonna have to do a lot of piecing together here ... " Ulrich decided. "I have this weird feeling that you're not from this place either.." He sighed quietly and shifted the positions of his legs. It was starting to get pretty cold now and he was just beginning to register this. As if things could get any worse, honestly! He almost preferred being attacked by X.A.N.A. multiple times in a row than being here. Jeez!!
"Hmm ... I'm getting kind of tired now," He said, his voice fading toward the end of his sentence. He didn't want to sleep though. His mind kept telling him if he fell asleep now, he wasn't going to wake up. Either way, who could just sleep in a place like this? Suicide, much? However, he couldn't help what his body wanted and his grip on the water bottle ceased, causing him to just drop it. His head slumped forward some, his eyes falling shut. "Nn.."
Couldn't be too bad, right...? He just had to try to stay half-awake, half-asleep. He wasn't quite sure how that even worked, but it was worth a shot. Little did he realize, however, that doing something that complicated wasn't really going to work. Within seconds he was out.

Ammy watched Ulrich intently as he began to fall asleep. It was okay for him to get rest now but he needed to be warmer. Once he was asleep she grabbed the remainder of the tarp and put it on him best she could before she herself crawled under it and laid against Ulrich. Dogs were naturally warm animals and her being the sun was especially so. She could keep him warm.
Ammy allowed herself to doze. She took many naps during the days and so really didn't have a sleeping schedule. She was a light sleeper. So she knew she would wake up if something happened.
Ulrich would get plenty of time of peaceful rest, before Ammy's body suddenly jolted as she jolted and looked up. Several moans and groans that were all rather loud immediatly followed. A big army of nurses were passing by the stand.

Ulrich dreamt of nothing in the state he was in, though he did unconsciously recognize the sudden jolt that came from something other than himself. His eyes drifted slowly open before he closed them again and groaned quietly. He was completely oblivious to what was going on outside of the game stand.
He was, however, suddenly brought to reality when he heard the dozens of shrill, horrific moans coming from behind what he was leaning against. Having been already cautious about everything in the area before, hearing this caused him to become extremely unsettled. "...?"
The brunette began to scoot himself forward slightly, then turned his head toward the counter he'd been previously leaning against. He couldn't see much, but what he did see was enough. Multiple wrapped heads bobbed by with awkward motions in an equally as awkward mob. Each of them had on the same style of hat that nurses generally wore as well as bloodied bandages that covered their faces. The boy's eyes widened in dismay.
The good part about the situation, however, was that they didn't seem to realize that both he and Ammy were sitting directly within their attacking range. He guessed this was due to the fact the mob didn't seem to have any eyes. At least, he couldn't see any that were showing. He turned his head a little and looked at Ammy with a small frown. "Don't... move..." He said in barely a whisper.

Ammy had her lip curled back at the creatures and her muscles coiled, however she didn't lunge. Had it just been a few and not a huge mob she might have very well gone in for a fight. It seemed that the creatures weren't coming to attack them at the moment.
At Ulrich's command to stay still, Ammy's ears flattened and she lowered her head some, her lip still curled, but other than that she stayed still and silent.
The mob of nurses ambled on without noticing. As if they weren't enough though. There was a sudden loud squak from above. With the roof of the stand over them, it wasn't visable, but there was something up in the air on the prowl for something. An Air screamer.

Ulrich looked directly up upon hearing the squawk. Of course, he couldn't see through the dirtied and torn tarp covering the stand, but he did have an assumption that what he heard was some sort of bird. Well, that actually sounded quite a bit too normal, now that he thought about it.
The nurses were headed off now, but they weren't far away enough for the two hidden victims to be able to come out and check what was in the sky. Either way, Ulrich really wasn't sure he wanted to know. Being picked up and taken off by some kind of bird creature didn't seem all that appealing. Once again, if it was a bird. He glanced over at Ammy, waiting to see what the dog planned on doing. She seemed smart enough, but at the same time, she kind of had a very impulsive personality. He hoped the two of them could work together to get out of this potential mess.
The boy tried to think about what he would do, should something drastic happen. If Ammy leapt out and was capture by a flying monster, he wouldn't be able to get her back down. He definitely wasn't in the condition to go chasing after a bird either way. He also thought about the nurses. How would he run past those as well? They didn't seem all that aware, but at the same time the two were pretty well hidden. His heart beat fast in his chest and he started to feel forms of panic rise inside.
Just how many monsters were there here?

There were more squaks as the nurses headed off slowly, they were apparently ignoring the sound of the creature above them. All went silent for just a moment. Curiosity got the better of Ammy and she stood, peeking her head over the counter top. It was a mistake. There was a sudden loud crash and the boards cracked in slightly as the bat creature abrubtly rammed into the stand and strained its head over the counter to take a bite at Ammy who was luckily fast enough to jump backwards.
The creature was massive and seemed to be a mix between a bat and a predatorial bird. It proceded to try to claw its way into the stand towards Ammy and over Ulrich whom it had failed to notice at the moment.
Ammy snarled and lashed her weapon at it but was finding that the amount of space she had to move about was growing smaller and smaller.

Ulrich jumped at the noise of the crash and sat where he was, wide eyed. He looked up and noticed the creature going for Ammy almost directly above him. Trembling lightly, he sat still, unsure of what to do. It probably aimed to kill them both, how were he and the wolf going to prevent that?
Finally getting ahold of himself, he looked back at Ammy. "You gotta run!" He told her, "Quickly! It'll get you in here!" He knew it probably wasn't a good thing to start shouting with a beast so close to him, but he had to get Ammy to move before she ended up being taken off. His heart was beating quick and hard in his chest and he was definitely having a hard time controlling the urge to just start crying then and there. He hated this place. He hated, hated, hated it. He had no hope of survival anymore at all.
