Kazu kept walking, his expression sort of grim and tired. He didn't want to screw around anymore. He just wanted to lay down, shut his eyes, and reopen them back at home in his own house again. He hated it here. He'd been here for what... an hour or two? He was already tempted to just drown himself in that river he woke up beside.
Feeling down, his steps were sluggish, rather than speedy. He was on his ATs, but he didn't feel like skating quickly. He looked down at the wolf. "...I wish I knew your name." He murmured, quietly.

Her ears pricked and she tilted her head, a name? Well most people new it or gave her one. But if he wanted to know, it wasn't all that much trouble to let him know. She hopped a bit ahead of him, her tail turning black with ink. She didn't know how to write very much in their language, but she knew some. Her name was one thing. She found a rock and drew out an elegent symbol that read 'Amaterasu'.
Upon finishing her tail returned to its pure white and she stared up at Kazu, wagging her tail with a derpy face.

Kazu was extremely surprised by the wolf's sudden ink-like tail, and was even more surprised when she began to paint a form of hiragana--or was it kanji?--on a rock in front of them. Leaning forward slightly, he looked the symbol over in order to figure out it's designated meaning.
"... That's the symbol for Amaterasu." He said, quietly. Wow, even he learned something in his history class. Confused, he glanced down at the wolf who seemed pretty pleased with herself. "Amaterasu's the sun goddess. She's the one who's supposed to protect Japan." He stared at her with more and more curiosity. "Are you ... ? Are you--" He paused for a second, then continued. "Are you named after her or something?" For a moment, it was like he figured out who she really was, but really, what kind of a goddess appeared in the form of a dog?
He chuckled some, looking back at the rock. "Amaterasu. Nice. Now I can call you something other than wolf. Or dog. Or something, I dunno."

Ammy waited patiently for Kazu's simple mind to process everything. She looked around at everything and didn't really seem to be paying attention to anything in paticular. When he asked the second question, she took a moment to look around more, before looking at him. That was what some people called her. She had many nicknames really. Furball, fleabag, snowy, doggie. Those were the most common ones, other than her main one at least. In the end, she decided to write out her shorter name. Her tail filled with ink again and she wrote 'Ammy' beneath it, then looked at Kazu to see if he was satisfied with this name.
He didn't look all too impressed tat she was a wolf. Almost everyone knew where she came from. Not that she really cared all that much. It was interesting.

"Ammy?" The boy questioned. "Hah, what a cute nickname name. I bet my teacher would totally dig it. She's that kind of person, you know...?" He said, looking at the wolf. His eyes suddenly became glazed over in some form of sadness. Thinking about his teacher made him feel even more homesick. Was he ever going to see her again? He glanced away from Ammy and once again began to drift forward on his ATs. His mood had dimmed in an instant and now he wasn't too in the mood for joking around anymore.
"..Guess we should probably get a move on, again." Kazu murmured. "We've gotta find some kind of safe area to stay away from those bastard creatures."

Ammy wagged her tail as he seemed to approve of her name, and noticed immediatly when his mood dim. The wagging of her tail slow, then stopped and she tilted her head. What was wrong? He had a rather sudden mood shift.
When he started to move on ahead with his ATs, Ammy trotted along side him. She looked around, keeping her guard up. That's right, it would be good to find a safe room. If they could find some place truley safe she'd feel okay about leaving him there. If he was here there was bound to be other people that were in harms way as well. Before she tried really defeating what ever was responsible for all this, she wanted to make sure people were safe.

Kazu moved forward as if he were merely standing on a conveyer belt. That was the nice thing about ATs. They had motors and you didn't have to put in much effort to be lazy with them.
"Kay so ... I wonder just how far that river goes." He said, quietly after a while. He watched it as he skated along. "Do you think it leads to an ocean or something? Maybe we could swim away from this shit hole." He didn't want to die here. He didn't want to live here either. Already he felt like he'd never touch a zombie game again after he got home. Damn, he'd better get home!!
Then again, maybe the fact he played those games would help him against certain monsters. Or maybe he was just fantasizing being a hero.

Ammy trotted along side him. When it came to running or anything of the like she never tired. Swimming on the other hand was a whole different story. She was just looking ahead for the most part as he spoke but when he mentioned trying to swim across the ocean she looked up at him and gave a groan like sound, her ears drooping a bit. It was clear she dissaproved of that idea. She wasn't really a fan of water and swimming in the first place. The ocean would be just outrageous. She could create a lily pad that could carry them both across water, but then it was the ocean and the lily pad would only hold up to so much tossing about. There was no way they could survive for days on it until they got to a different land mass to. Trying to leave by crossing the ocean was just out of the question at the moment.
She began to look around again. She really wanted to find a safe place. If they found one she'd feel much better about being in this place let alone wandering around it.

Kazu noticed the wolf's response, and looked down at her. He stared for a moment, then chuckled a little. "Don't worry, Ammy. We're not gonna go swimming. I don't even know how to swim, that's why you had to help me earlier." He said. It was kind of an embarrassing thing to admit, but it wasn't like she was a human who was capable of giving him shit about it or anything.
He stared forward, becoming a little less afraid of where he was. Sure, all that stuff had happened, but man ... they survived! The two of them. And although they were a little bit beat up, they were still in one piece! Thank God. It must be a sign or something. The thought of other creatures showing up in the vicinity didn't even cross his mind at all.
... Which was probably something he should have been a little more cautious of.

Ammy walked along side Kazu, unlike him she was more alert about other things attacking. She was glad he seemed to be a little opptimistic again though. Opptimistic people were her favorite type of people. Ammy suddenly stopped walking and looked straight ahead. Right in front of them was what appeared to be a person. The man was wearing ragged clothes that included a grey hoodie that had his hood up, it covered the majority of his face. There was some duct tape wrapped around the sleeves as if he'd been trying to fix tears, there were some around the legs of his pants as well. He was just standing and appearing to be doing nothing.
Ammy saw that he looked human, but there was something very off about the man, she didn't like him at all as a matter of fact. Her ears flattened and the fur on her back rose and she began to emit a soft growl, not going any close to the man.

Kazu glanced forward and noticed said guy not too far in front of them. He paused and stared at him for a moment, frowning a little, then looked at Amaterasu. She didn't like the dude for some reason, but .. he didn't seem like he was so bad compared to what they saw before. In fact, wasn't he just some guy?
"Hey ..." He said to Ammy, "What if he's like us?" He looked back at the guy. "Um, hey! ... Are you alone?" He questioned. He took a few awkward steps toward him (walking on skates was never graceful). "You can join our team if you promise you're not actually a cannibal or something...." He was kind of creeped out by the dude, but his sister always taught him not to automatically judge strangers.

Amaterasu watched Kazu in dissaproval. Absolutely not! She knew a bad apple when she saw one, or sensed one really. This man, was he a man even? He seemed like just a thing. Like one of those other things they fought. She'd seen demons that disguised themselves as humans before and they were eating small animals from around the area, and they tried eating her. She got the feeling that this guy was going to put them on the menu too.
Ammy decided to deny Kazu, she went up behind him and grabbed the back of his jacket and started to drag him backwards, walking backwards and trying not to roll his blades over her paws. She growled in the process of doing so

Kazu looked back at her. "C'mon, Ammy, why don't you trust him?" He asked, frowning a little bit. He didn't quite have the same amount of sense as the wolf did.
Just as he said that, however, the hunter lunged forward with a growl, grabbing at Kazu who had flailed a little in order to dodge it. "O-oh, that's why, I see now!" He said, kind of horrified. "Shit! Are there no other normal humans here?!" He raised his arms up to block another attack from the man in the hoodie.

Ammy snarled as it pounced through the air. The creature/thing/whatever it was moved much faster than she had expected it to be able to. She had under-estimated it because of it's scrawny, unhealthy human looking appearance.
The thing raised its hand up to strike Kazu as he put his arms up to cover himself. Ammy came around and leapt up with a snarl and grabbed his arm in her jaws much like a police dog would and she tried to drag him down. The thing seemed strong though. It shook his arm and screeched before smacking Ammy's face to get her off.
With the strike to her face Ammy let go with a yelp, the area around her eyes started to bleed some with a scratch from his untrimmed, disgusting nails. The thing in the hoodie was successfully distracted from Kazu, it began to let him go as it got ready to pounce at Ammy.

Kazu felt a little bad for being a complete and total idiot. Wow, he'd trusted a monster for that second, and because of this the wolf was sacrified. Damn, well now it was time to redeem himself.
"Hey, bastard! Don't even think about going forher!" He shouted and knocked the creature over while he was distracted by Ammy. Upon the two of them landing, he started to beat the living hell out of it. Well, that's what he thought he was doing at least. Unfortunately, the creature wasn't that easily defeated.
Letting out a low growl, the hunter (whom was on its back) jerked its head forward, successfully head-butting Kazu in the forehead. The noise caused by their heads colliding was pretty loud and Kazu was left dazed. The creature shoved him off and stood up once again, growling.
