Amaterasu awoke in a place that she was immediatly aware was not home. Or Kamiki. Or any place that she was familiar with at all. She had fallen asleep by Waka's home in the heveans. She was familiar with what towns or like. This was a town...but where were the people? Why was it so cold and scary here?
The confused goddess rose slowly to her feet, stretching out her limbs some while looking around, she got the sense that there were terrible things here. It made her fur stand on end. This place smelled disgusting, like death. Were all the people that had been here did? What did this?
Ammy stalked quietly towards the houses, all senses aware and alert. She would let no movement or breath past her. She wanted to find something, anything that was alive. Preferably friendly as well. She sniffed the air then made a soft grunt of disgust, coughing a bit. As much as she would like to track down of some sort, the stench here was just too over-powering. It was rather uncomfortable for her not to be able to rely on her nose.
She stalked around broken down buildings that were foreign to her. Even if they were strange she knew they weren't supposed to be in that state. She spent several minutes wandering the empty town finding nothing. She gave a faint whimper before raising her muzzle to the sky and giving a long, lonely howl.

" The last thing the conman remembered before his eyes closed was the distinctive roar and smashing of a Tank(*) outside one of the safe rooms that he and the others holed up it. But now, he didn't know where he was. Bleary eyes opened slowly and he automatically knew he wasn't in a safe room anymore. There was no secure concrete ceiling above him, instead it was an old, decrepit ceiling that looked like it was going to fall. He wasn't going to try to get up for a few moments. Nick had to get his surroundings in check and the fact that things were spinning some in his vision was not helping one bit. It wasn't that much later when he finally sat up, a hand moving up to rub against his pounding head. "Ellis?" He called out, hoping that what his mind was telling him was correct. That they moved him while he was unconscious, though he didn't know why they'd do such a stupid thing. When there was no reply he called out his other companions' names, "Rochelle? ... Coach?" Nick wasn't going to try to get any louder then that. He didn't want a horde coming after him. When the man finally picked himself up, he was able to locate his weapons near by. He strapped his shotgun and medical kit to his back as he held onto his axe with both hands. He used his shoulder to push open what he assumed was the front door of the house and stepped out, axe held up, ready to strike down upon anything life threatening. How they hell did they get in a washed up, hick town like this?[/ul] * - To see what a Tank looks like, it's on the creature list, at the very bottom.

After her howl, Amaterasu took a few steps forward to investigate more when her sensitive ears picked up something amongst the silence. She stopped dead, her head and tail up with her ears pricked.
It was faint, but it had been there, a voice. Ammy was rarely one to think before she lept. The thought that the owner of the voice might not be friendly or might not paticularly want to see a wolf didn't occur to her. She wanted to see a life form at the very least, being alone was terrible, she hated it. Though...she knew from experience that being alone amongst enemies was even worse.
Ammy whirled around the corner and saw an armed man standing in the doorway of the house. It was only when she saw the strange but dangerous looking things did she think to be caustious. Rather than bolting at the man like she originally would have done, she walked slowly in his direction, eyeing his movements carefully.

Ammy didn't like the sight of that axe, she began to slow then she stopped. It wasn't often that humans attacked but she'd had to fight a couple. They hadn't been so easy either.
She gave a soft growl and crouched some, getting in a stance that was ideal for defending and dodging. The strange, round object on her back flared light out slightly as she watched the man, her head low and ears laid back.

She watched him caustiously, she didn't really want to leave him because he was a living, breathing human being. Even if he didn't seem all that friendly, at this point she'd rather be around him than alone. When he told her not to growl she huffed through her nose, then watched as he backed away. She slowly stood up right again.
Ammy's ears pricked as she heard the growl and she watched the man. There was another thing coming. She had a feeling it wasn't good. It would try to hurt the man, wouldn't it? Her instinct to protect the human made her forget that she was supposed to be caustious with him. She began to walk toward him, but she didn't look all that aggressive at the moment. She wasn't even looking at him at the moment. She was looking in the direction that the thing was coming in.

Ammy didn't need any more urging than that, with a snarl she leapt at the creature on him, throwing all of her weight at it to knock it off of him. She grabbed it by the throat and was able to hold for some time, but she could only withstand so much tearing up by those claws, she was forced to let go and she scrambled off the creature, walking backwards as it got to its feet. She tried to prevent its full recovery by lashing out with her divine instrument, though it struck the creature kept its balance. She tried hitting it again and the creature leapt away.
Ammy snarled and crouched to leap at it again, she was bleeding from her belly but ignoring it at the moment.

Ammy winced at the loud sound, it made her ears hurt, but next thing she knew the foul creature was dead. Slowly she stood upright again and looked at the conman, eyeing the gun with distaste and a little apprehension. She did so for only a moment before seeming to relax some. Her tail began to wag as she suddenly took on a much friendlier demeanor. Even if he wasn't the kind of human she was used to, it was nice to have company.
She was injured, she had some gashes on her belly and some good scratches on her legs, but this didn't seem to deter her from being happy.

" Nick said without so mush as a beat, his mind was reeling and for a moment he thought he was safely back in one of the saferooms. He could, without a doubt, see his comrades grinning faces in his head after such a praise, but with a blink of his eyes the faces were no longer there. The conman slung the gun back onto his back and leaned down, rather painfully, to pick up the tossed medical kit. With one last glance at the beast, he made his way back to the house he exited moments before and sat himself on the edge of the porch. Setting down the kit, he looked down at his stomach to see how bad it was. Nick unbuttoned his shirt and looked at the wound once more. It didn't look that bad, but it did hurt like you wouldn't believe. So he got to work, opening the kit and using whatever he needed to wrap himself up. Once that was done, he buttoned his shirt back some and looked at the beast. " .. Do you need.. uh, some help with your wounds?" His brows furrowed lightly, it was the least he could do, right? If the canine hadn't been there, he'd probably be dead thanks to that Hunter.[/ul]

Amaterasu had watched as he bandaged himself, and when he spoke to her she gave a wolfy smile and wagged her tail. She was in pain but didn't act it at all.
She walked closer to the man and tilted her head, her tongue hanging out of the side of her mouth.
